Description
I shot this last Friday behind the building I work in. This was the friendliest squirrel I've ever encountered. There were several roaming around, but she seemed to take an interest in me.. perhaps they were used to being fed and she wanted food. As I started shooting she moved closer and closer. I had to zoom out several times. By this shot she was about 3 feet from me.

Wonderful shot! I have a thing for squirrels - maybe because they're almost the only wildlife you get to see around here - and also because they're sorta cute - their faces are very much like my ferret's face. This one's got funky, gnarly hands. I have a good shot of a mamma squirrel myself that I will have to post. I know she's a mamma, not because she was surrounded by kits, but because you can see that she had been nursing. Too funny!
